Prepping Garden for Spring & Homemade Peach Pie – The Wisconsin Vegetable Gardener

Joey and Holly show how they are prepping the garden for spring. Holly shows how to make a delicious peach pie.

Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

Pie filling
– about 48 oz of canned peaches, drained or 8-10  medium peaches chopped and peeled- 1/4 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup flour

Crumble Topping:
– 1 stick of melted butter
– 1 cup of oats
– 1 cup of flour
– 3/4 cup of brown sugar
– pinch of salt
– 2 pinches of cinnamon

I use a store bought pie crust or you can make your own.

Method:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Form pie crust into pie plate.

Combine all pie filling ingredients and mix until well combined.

Dump into pie, distribute evenly.

Mix all of the dry ingredients for crumble topping, add in melted butter, mix well, spread over top of pie filling.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
